The School Hall hosted on Saturday November 23 the Local Phase of School Sports Badminton, organized by the Department of Sports and which, as always, had the collaboration of the Badminton Club Totana.
A total of 14 teams from the different schools of the locality participated in the same, belonging to the categories Benjamin, Alevín, children and cadet.
In the Benjamin and Alevin categories, Reina Sofía College won the first three places, while in the children's category, the champion team was the Colegio Deitania;
and in the cadet category, the IES Prado Mayor finished at the top of the podium
The competition concluded with the delivery of trophies and medals to the top three classified in each category.
The Councilor for Sports, Agustín Gonzalo Martínez Hernández;
a representative of the Table Tennis Club, Pedro Sánchez;
María Isabel Rubio de la Peña, member of the Municipal Corporation;
and the Physical Education teacher of Reina Sofía School, Francisco Martínez Casanova.
Finally, the champion team of each category will also have the possibility to participate in the Regional South Zone Badminton School Sports Day, organized by the General Directorate of Sports of the Region of Murcia, which will take place on January 18, in Cartagena
