The Department of Sports of the City of Totana organizes, in collaboration with the Athletics Federation of the Region of Murcia, the "5K Constitution Day", which is part of the program of sports activities of the patron celebrations of Santa Eulalia.
The test will be held on Friday, December 6, starting at 10:00 a.m., with the absolute test;
and later the children's races will begin after 11:00 hours;
with a tour that will take place in an urban circuit, being the start and finish in the Sports Pavilion "Manolo Ibáñez".
The Department has planned the delivery of trophies for the first three of the categories of Benjamin to veterans;
first three absolute in the 5k;
first five local in the 5k;
medals for all participants of the prebenjamin category - this race is participatory, without qualification;
and technical t-shirt for all participants in the 5k
Registrations may be made on the website www.asuspuestos.com, from the publication of these regulations and until the closing date of the registrations, setting the deadline on Wednesday, December 4.
The inscriptions of the categories benjamín, alevín, infantile, cadet and juvenile will be processed exclusively in the educational centers of Totana, until Tuesday, December 3.
In addition, all participants will be included in a sports accident insurance policy and will be covered for possible accidents that occur as a result of the career development
The delivery of bibs will take place in the Sports Pavilion "Manolo Ibáñez", starting at 9:00 am, and up to five minutes before the start of each of the events.
Participating runners will have a shower service at the end of the event, at the "Manolo Ibáñez" Municipal Sports Pavilion, as well as a luggage service.
The schedules, categories and distances will be the following: 10:00 hours (absolute race 5000 m, sub23 categories, senior, master 35, master 40, master 45, master 50, master 55, master 60 and master 65);
11:00 hours (cadet and youth race 2200 m);
11:15 hours (1100 m children's race);
11:30 hours (850 m alevín race);
12:00 hours (500 m Benjamin race) and 12.30 hours (350 m prebenjamin race).
The City Council of Totana wishes to thank the collaboration in this sporting event of the company HERO, which facilitates the provisioning of energy bars;
and on the other hand, the collaboration of the Athletics Federation of the Region of Murcia, which brings the judges the day of the test and integrates it into their regional calendar of popular races.
Also, this year, for the first time, the Federation has selected this test to be scoring in the Regional Championship of 5 kilometers in Route, which involves the participation of the best athletes in the Region of Murcia, and consequently a quality jump regarding previous editions.
On the other hand, they highlighted that this sporting event is also part of the School Sports program, and therefore is classified in the categories of young and young for the Regional Final of Field through School Sports, organized by the General Directorate of Sports from the Region of Murcia.
In addition, they thanked the collaboration of sports and Civil Protection volunteers, the Department of City Services and Local Police, which are essential for this popular race to be carried out.
Finally, they thanked for their collaboration the Physical Education teachers of all schools in the town, in charge of processing School Sports registration.
The Department of Sports hopes this year, again, to get a high participation as usual, specifically last year they registered in this sports event, within the program of celebrations, 800 participants.
