The number of new companies installed in the polygon in the last four years is estimated at 36 (02/11/2019)

The number of new companies installed in the industrial estate “El Saladar†in the last four years, from the years 2015 to 2019, is estimated at 36 when going from 126 to 152 new companies;

while the Business Incubator of this park is consolidated as a site for new entrepreneurs to have an average of between 13 and 15 companies in recent months.

A report from the Department of Economic Development, Development and Employment and Industry fixed that from 2015 to 2018 there has been an increase of 17.10% of new companies installed, a proportion that would be comparable to the number of workers.

In this way, the total number of workers operating in companies of the Totana industrial estate amounts to some 1,116, of which 881 are men and 235 women;

whose figures would not include employees of the production, marketing and export of fruit and vegetable company "Moyca".

This, which has begun in this four-year period of the third phase of its facilities, is the one that contributes the greatest number of employees to the total number of industrial park workers.

Thus, with the “Moyca†data, the number of warehouse workers - five-month average season, of which 85% are women - amounts to some 3,300 workers.

In addition, the evolution of the companies located in the Business Nursery since its installation in March 2016 is between 13 and 15, with three being consolidated that have left this municipal infrastructure after starting in their corresponding sector.

At present, there are only two spaces available (1 office-nest and 1 ship).

The Councilor for Economic Development, Inmaculada Blázquez, has shown her satisfaction with these figures that demonstrate the entrepreneurial nature of Totana's business fabric, as well as the correct management of this public facility to facilitate the establishment of new companies in Totana

He also recalled that the Totana industrial estate is owned by the City Council and not the Info, a situation that distorts the acquisition of investors since this park does not come companies attracted by the advantages offered by the Autonomous Community through this entity.

The implementation of business projects and their subsequent development and consolidation through technical coordination in the Business Nursery is a fundamental tool in the strategy focused on the promotion and support of entrepreneurship in the industrial park of Totana.

The mayor has explained that it is pending to hold a meeting with those responsible for the Info to request economic and technical support in the industrialization of land that was acquired in order to expand the area of industrial land of the park to offer it to new companies.

Finally, he informed that, in coordination with the Department of City Services and Infrastructures, the state of the gardens and public spaces existing in the industrial estate will be improved in the coming weeks.
