A total of 16 people participate in the Psychoeducational Training Course provided by Intergenerational Solidarity at the Local Development Center until October 3, Monday through Thursday, from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., within the offer training promoted by the Department of Training and Employment.
The mayor of the branch, Inmaculada Blázquez, inaugurated this training activity that lasts 30 hours;
and will be taught by Mario Martínez Cano (psychologist) and Juan Alcolea Fernández (social worker), respectively.
Participants may obtain the diploma once the contents of the nine topics of the course program have been exceeded.
The contents are as follows:
SUBJECT 1. MAIN CHARACTERISTICS OF THE ELDERLY.
ELIMINATION OF MYTHS AND FALSE BELIEFS.
SUBJECT 2. AGING.
NORMAL AND PATHOLOGICAL CHANGES.
UNIT 3. HEALTHY AND HARMFUL HABITS.
UNIT 4. AUTONOMY OF THE DEPENDENT PERSON.
SUBJECT 5. ADAPTATION OF THE ENVIRONMENT TO THE DEPENDENT PERSON AND USE OF TECHNICAL AID.
UNIT 6. BEHAVIORS AND PROBLEMATIC CONDUCT OF PEOPLE IN DEPENDENCY SITUATION.
UNIT 7. PSYCHOSTIMULATION.
SUBJECT 8. THE IMPORTANCE OF THE SELF-GUIDED.
SUBJECT 9. AID AND SOCIAL RESOURCES.
Solidaridad Intergeneracional is a statewide association of elderly and family, non-profit, born to provide social services to the elderly and family members who live in rural areas.
Among its objectives are to increase the well-being and quality of life of the elderly and their families through the provision of social services, with priority being support services for dependent elderly people and their families;
as well as favoring with the interventions the permanence of the elderly in their homes, in decent conditions and quality of life.
