The facade of the main building of the City of Totana will be illuminated this next weekend, from October 4 to 6, coinciding with the National Day of Arthritis, green in tribute to people suffering from rheumatoid arthritis with the aim of raising awareness and inform the population of this disease.
Initially, it was going to be illuminated only on October 1, but the Department of Social Welfare has decided to extend the conference in order to give greater visibility to these pathologies.
This initiative is promoted by the Department of Health and Social Welfare within the campaign promoted by the National Arthritis Coordinator (ConArtritis) during the month of October under the slogan "October month of arthritis and spondyloarthritis."
This action began in 2015 and has been given continuity in cities such as Valencia, Vigo, Ciudad Real, Madrid, Huesta and Santiago de Compostela;
where buildings, monuments or emblematic fountains are illuminated in this color in order to give more visibility to these unknown pathologies.
ConArtritis is a non-profit association that brings together families and patients with rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, juvenile arthritis and spondyloarthritis.
