Seven Civil Protection volunteers in Totana participate today in Sunday in the support work for the evacuation of families and bilges from garages, basements and commercial basements in the municipality of Los Alcázares before the request made last night by the Association of this municipality and the General Directorate of Emergencies
The totaneros volunteers have traveled early with the Command Unit and several vehicles with which, helped by six motor pumps, they are draining parkings and basements totally flooded by the storm of torrential rains in the Mar Menor region.
Among the volunteers are the head of the Association of Totana and the municipal Civil Protection technician and the head of the Sanitary Unit.
The material damages that the DANA has left in its path in the municipality of Los Alcázares are now the main concern of the residents of the coastal town most affected by the meteorological phenomena that have been happening during the last days.
The picture in the streets of Los Alcazares is sad and worrying for the neighbors: hundreds of furniture, appliances and other personal belongings completely shattered and covered in mud fill the urban road.
