The Department of Water and Sewerage is going to finalize that same week the works of installation of a pipe of distribution of potable water next to the rambla of the Santa, in the Tirol Camilleri neighborhood, that is executing the mercantile "Instalaciones Hergasa 2006, SL" amounting to 9,314.34 euros;
and had several weeks of deadline.
The distribution of drinking water networks in the urban area consists of a mesh of pipes that supply all the established properties.
In addition to this, networks start radially from the urban area to supply plots that are located in the lower areas of the aforementioned urban area.
These radial networks, of very old construction, have raffled all the existing infrastructures in the territory, such as the railroad, the Commonwealth channel of the Taibilla Channels, ramblas, roads and highways.
At the same time, these have, in some sections, paths that run through the interior of plots of private property, because in the past the installation of the pipes was carried out with the shortest possible length.
One of these networks suffered a breakdown inside a private plot in which there are built ships that make repair impossible, so the Municipal Water Service had left the section of pipeline without service temporarily.
This breakdown was affecting the subscribers that are supplied from the aforementioned network, since the provision of water that was made temporarily from another network did not cover the needs completely.
This impossibility led to the need to install a new section of network to, as far as possible, eliminate the route through the interior of the private plot and put into service the supply to the network that reaches the railway.
Due to the conditions that appeared, the sectoral authorizations of the Commonwealth of the Taibilla Channels and the Segura Hydrographic Confederation were necessary;
and given that this action is considered of public interest since it is about the supply of drinking water to citizens.
The route was located outside private lands, with the exception of the final section, in order to protect the works for their maintenance;
For this purpose, the access road to the existing private estate next to the rambla has been chosen.
This was the only possible route to carry out the by-pass of the damaged section, since in the northeast part of the land there is no existence of any road.
