Neighbors of Totana:
Today a year ago a group of residents of our municipality from across the political spectrum in terms of ideology refers, on behalf of civil society and with the sole purpose of improving our municipality and the day to day of ALL neighbors, decided Take a step forward to say "Enough is enough!"
and demonstrate our disagreement with the entire local political class.
With much work and effort, facing all kinds of adversities and avoiding the obstacles that some put us for the pure effort that civil society had no voice or vote in the municipal corporation, we got representation in the town hall thanks to the 865 voters who placed their trust in us.
After attending the first full session of the legislature held on June 15, it was clear that each of the proposals of our founding manifesto are now even more valid than a year ago.
Every day we are more convinced that to take Totana to the path that should never have been lost, DIALOGUE AND CONSENSUS OF ALL POLITICAL FORCES is needed, as we said in our manifesto:
"In short, we want a City Council governed by serious and effective people, where all ideologies fit, where the ultimate goal is the common good, without partisan struggles or personal interests." We want to place Totana in the place she never had to have lost, leaving behind a nefarious management that has left it behind in job creation and head in public debt. "
In another order of things, we know that we will try by all means to put our councilor between the sword and the wall to prevent him from being the legal representative of the citizens who voted for him, or lose his job by taking refuge to the argument that is what the law says.
It is curious that scrupulous compliance with the law when interested, in other cases, has not been.
This law of incompatibility is interpretable and there are already cases in which other municipalities have given their approval to this compatibility;
With the goodwill and companionship of the rest of the councilors, Jose Antonio Andreo could represent a part of the town of Totana, and therefore respect the will of 865 totaneros and give them a voice and vote.
On the other hand, others say that our councilors from the SAC (Service of attention to the citizen) handles "sensitive and very important information" that can harm to the rest of councilmen, as giving to understand that it is known that the law of transparency is not fulfilled .
We could understand that when our councilor was an intervener, then that argument could make sense.
However, Jose Antonio can be relocated to another position where he can perform his work without access to that "sensitive information" and be able to play his position as councilor.
In short, we will have to wait until the end of the month to know what happens but there will undoubtedly be surprises.
To finish, just say that for us it is a day of celebration because we are already actively collaborating in the change and in the way of doing things within the local corporation, although some are still bent on saying that things must continue to be done from that way because they have always been done like this.
