La Santa de Totana Foundation has organized the so-called Camino Eulaliense between the sister cities of Totana and Mérida (Badajoz), which consists of 674 kilometers divided into a total of 30 stages and four main sections that would take place between 2019 and 2020.
The president of the Board and mayor, Andrés García, and the vice president and parish priest of Santiago, Francisco José Fernández, accompanied by the promoter and promoter of this initiative, Julián Larroya, and the steward of La Santa, Francisco Miras, have presented this initiative.
This activity was presented during the V Meeting of Eulalian Associations that was held in Mérida in March of 2017 and since then employers of the La Santa de Totana Foundation have been working in their organization.
The Eulalia Way would cost two itineraries divided in turn into two sections that would allow the meeting of the delegations of the cities of Totana and Mérida in the city of Ãbeda.
The four main sections, to be developed in a scheduled and scheduled way in the years 2019 and 2020, would be La Santa-Puebla de Don Fadrique, Puebla de Don Fadrique-Ãbeda, Ãbeda-Córdoba and Córdoba-Mérida.
In order to carry out this journey of pilgrimage in these annuities, and given that completing 30 stages is difficult due to the need to require relevant time from the participants, the organizers contemplate making two sections with exit at La Santa de Totana and Mérida, and both that converge in a meeting in Ãbeda.
In this way, the first section would take place during the weekends of June 1 and 2 (La Santa-Coy and Coy-Caravaca de la Cruz) and from June 8 and 9 (Caravaca de la Cruz-Cañadas de la Cruz). -Puebla de Don Fadrique), each with a cost of 35 euros and including travel, accommodation and meals.
