They carry out integral cleaning works in different spaces and uncontrolled waste dumps in the periphery, located in the districts of Triptolemos and San José, respectively (17/05/2019)

The Department of Services and Maintenance of the City is carrying out during these days works of integral cleaning of different spaces and uncontrolled dumps of the periphery located in the districts of Triptolemos and San José, some of them at the request of the neighborhood associations and resident users.

Operators of this department are proceeding to the removal of debris and garbage in different areas such as Picasso Street and the old "Central", in Triptoletmos;

and in La Paza Street and Villa Cohete, in San José, according to its owner, Víctor Balsas.

This department is proceeding to the cleaning of illegal dumps of waste distributed by different spaces around the periphery of the municipality, according to the mayor of the branch.

In recent years, cleanings of these characteristics have been regular in places that are used irresponsibly as uncontrolled landfills, such as those in the area of ​​Los Yesares, Los Secanos, Jardin de Don Justo, Arco de San Pedro, El Portón and others. spaces near the Garden "Diego Manzano", among others. The councilor explained that the initiative to clean uncontrolled and illegal landfills that has carried out the City has involved the removal of several tons of waste from different points of the periphery of the city, as debris, furnishings, etc. In this sense, Víctor Balsas has stressed the need to be aware of the environmental damage and the bad image caused by these landfills;

and has reiterated that cleaning "is everyone's thing" and that the reasonable solution is that the residents of Totana who have to deposit waste or belongings do so at the clean points or in the eco-park.

At the same time, he recalled that companies must manage the deposit of their waste with an authorized manager. The councilor has insisted on the importance of taking another step in awareness advocating the ongoing fight against the uncivil behavior of neighbors and businesses that they use these places to deposit their rubbish and debris. The municipal eco-park schedule is, in winter, from 9:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and from 4:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., from Tuesday to Friday;

and on Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

In the summer months, until September 15, it is from 9:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and from 6:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., from Tuesday to Friday;

and on Saturdays also from 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
