They approve the modification of the Ordinance of the Internal Regime of the Municipal Cemetery, extending until 2021 the term to adapt the titles of funerary rights to the regulations (10/05/2019)

The Plenary Session of the Municipality of Totana has initially approved, unanimously, the modification of the content of the first transitory provision of the Regulatory Ordinance of the Internal Regime of the Municipal Cemetery "Nuestra Señora del Carmen", extending the term for the adaptation of the titles of rights Funeral to the provisions of this Regulation until the year 2021.

The corporate gave the green light to the proposal of the councilman of Cemetery, Víctor Balsas, so, from now on, will be submitted to public information for a period of 30 working days so that suggestions and complaints can be presented, through the publication of advertisement in the BORM.

Therefore, once the aforementioned period has ended, the Plenary will proceed to resolve the complaints or suggestions received and proceed to its final approval.

If after this period has not been presented, the agreement adopted until then provisional will be understood as definitively approved.

The City Council approved in July 2009, initially, the Regulatory Ordinance of the Internal Regime of the Municipal Cemetery of Totana;

being definitively approved after not submitting claims or suggestions.

Articles 13 and 14 of said ordinance provide that the holders of funeral rights can not be deceased persons, adding in its first transitory provision that "anyone who has a funeral certificate title before the entry into force of this ordinance, will have a term of five years to adapt said title to the provisions thereof. "

This period ended on March 17, 2015, but in the February 2015 plenary session it agreed to extend that term in two years, that is, until May 2017.

After the last two years, hundreds of owner changes have been processed, but there are still a significant number of graves, niches and vaults to be updated;

Since the construction of the current cemetery in 1885 had not made any campaign in this regard, nor there was mandatory regulations until the aforementioned year 2010.

For this reason, it was necessary to extend the deadline agreed upon at the time to provide the relatives of deceased persons with the necessary procedures, taking into account personnel problems due to retirements, termination of the contract, etc .;

and that also greatly affect the Cemetery Bureau of the City of Totana.
