The municipal company of Promotion of Industrial Land and Housing of Totana, SA (Proinvitosa) has recently acquired an area of ​​more than 19,000 square meters to expand the industrial park "El Saladar" of Totana at a price of 12 euros per square meter, that will allow offering plots at a "very competitive" price to offer it to new entrepreneurs and entrepreneurs.
The first deputy mayor and president of Proinvitosa, Juan José Cánovas, has signed a few days ago the purchase deed to a Totana family but based in Catalonia to enable this expansion in the northern area of ​​the industrial park, next to the Mediterranean motorway .
Juan José Cánovas said that this is "a fundamental area because it is a strip that allows entering the Action Unit number 3 (UA-3) of the park, thus consolidating a space developed in the years prior to the entry of the current team of municipal government ".
The first deputy mayor and the councilman of Formation, Antonia Camacho, who presided over this entity during the first two years of this term, made a balance of the management of the aforementioned company in the last four years.
According to him, the reference price will allow "to give a guarantee of future and perspective to the polygon as the engine of the economy";
and this operation has been carried out "in a completely transparent and known with permanent information" by the representatives of the Board of Directors in a direct negotiation between the family that owns the land and the president of Proinvitosa, on behalf of the Board of Directors .
Juan José Cánovas made a comparison of the aforementioned management with respect to another one that was made with the purchase of some land "in an isolated and non-viable area of ​​the park, well below the highway, which was acquired on 30 euros per square meter soil".
In this regard, he stressed that "if we had disposed of the resources that the City Council has had in recent times the situation of the polygon and employment in Totana would be different";
and defended the announced operation in an area of ​​interest for the future development of the industrial park.
Proinvitosa has gone from being undercapitalized in a situation of bankruptcy and crippling debts, which was giving losses, to stabilize its economic situation, according to Cánovas;
who also referred to the opening of the Business Incubator, an infrastructure that is complete, and ITV.
Juan José Cánovas has advocated continuing to work on the growth and improvement of the Totana industrial estate by having quality services and enviable communications to create employment and diversify the economy, revitalizing others such as the Child Care Center (CAI) service. .
