The City Council will initiate the file to cede the space or infrastructure in "El Cabecico" that allows PADISITO to have a residence for people with intellectual disabilities (03/04/2019)

The Plenary Session of the City Council of Totana agreed in its last ordinary session, unanimously, to initiate the file to cede the necessary space or infrastructure to equip the PADISITO Association, in the public property development located in "El Cabecico", and that in a future becomes the residence for people with intellectual disabilities who have been demanding for years.

With this agreement, at the initiative of the Ganar Totana-IU Group, which will be reported to the PADISITO Association and the Ministry of Social Policy and Family, it is intended to provide in the future to this association a space or premises in the aforementioned urbanization " El Cabecico ", in development of the agreement adopted by the Corporation on December 28, 2017.

On that date, the Plenary unanimously adopted the agreement of a motion presented by the Popular Group to initiate proceedings for the start-up of a residence for people with intellectual disabilities in Totana, according to the new proposal.

According to the agreement, during this time, the Department of Social Services, in coordination with the Association PADISITO, have been studying possibilities to advance in the aforementioned agreement.

The proposing agreement considers this as an adequate space and place, as well as being feasible in the short or medium term, given that the lots are owned by the municipality or by the public company PROINVITOSA, in the urbanization of "El Cabecico", in front of the residence of elderly people "La Purísima".

This space is very close to the urban center of Totana, excellently communicated, with green areas, bordering the campus of the residence, from which you can take advantage of common services and in a neighborhood, San Roque, with a population density moderate and with serious possibilities of early development of the urbanization in which could be counted even with work of beginning of the future residence that would manage PADISITO.
