On Friday, February 22, by agreement of the governing council of Coato, the ordinary and extraordinary general assembly of Coato was convened with the following items on the agenda:
Presentation and approval, if applicable, of the management report, balance sheet and profit and loss account and proposal for the distribution of results for the 2017-2018 financial year.
Presentation of the audit report and the fiscal and accounting report for the period 2017-2018 by the auditors and advisors, respectively, as well as the information report for the year by the Coato management.
Proclamation of the proposed candidatures and election of all the titular and alternate positions of the governing council, auditors and resource committee, in accordance with the procedure and prerequisites in the Coato statutes.
Recognition delivery to the most outstanding partners in the different products in the 2017-2018 campaign.

In this circumstance, the legal services of Coato and the security forces of the State (Guardia Civil), present to guarantee the correct development of the assembly, have recommended the suspension of the same, given the impossibility that the accredited members present there could Exercise your right to vote with freedom.

Hours later, the management of Coato has reported to the Civil Guard the theft of some private documents belonging to the cooperative, which included the data (name, DNI) of the registered partners.
Management regrets that the intolerant attitude of a small group of people outside the cooperative has prevented the Coato partners from freely exercising their rights, including electing the governing bodies of the company.
