The Department of Services to the City and Infrastructure of the City of Totana has placed an awning to combat high temperatures in the CEIP Luís Pérez Rueda, whose budget invested amounts to about 3,000 euros.

This is a demand that has been claimed by the educational community of this school a long time ago in order to cope with the high temperatures in the seasons where it has more incidence, as reported by the councilor responsible for the area, Víctor Balsas.

The mayor has lamented the lack of action of the Ministry of Education, which announces action plans to put shade and acclimatize schools, investments never come.

In this regard, Balsas has indicated that it is the City Council that has to supply, without resources, actions that are the exclusive competence of the Ministry, whose responsibility it should assume;

and has cited another identical example, in this sense, as is the work to cover the sports track of the CEIP San José.

The Councilor for Services to the City and Infrastructure has added that, in addition, in this term have invested about 45,200 euros, from exclusively municipal funds, in schools and the Municipal Children's School "Clara Campoamor" for, among other needs , fix the cover of the CEIP "Guadalentín" in El Paretón and change the doors that did not comply with the regulations in the public schools "Santa Eulalia" and "Santiago", among other actions.
