The City Council strongly condemns and shows its institutional rejection in what allegedly could be seven new cases of gender violence this week in Spain, which would raise 38 fatalities so far this year.
Last Tuesday, September 25, it was a sad day with four victims of gender violence in just nine hours: two girls murdered by their father in Castellón, and two women, one in Maracena (Granada) and another in Bilbao;
and yesterday in Torrox (Málaga).
All the victims raise to38 the number of women killed in Spain at the hands of the men with whom they maintained or had maintained a relationship with each other so far in 2018, according to the balance of the Ministry of Health, Social Services and Equality, updated.
The two girls do not appear in this statistic.
Since 2013,27 children have been killed by sexist violence.
So far this year, 25 minors have also been orphans of a mother and six of them also father by suicide of the aggressor.
From the totanero Consistory emphasizes the need to work together to stop and end this social scourge so it insists on the need to raise awareness from education to avoid behavior that incites inequality between men and women.
Against gender violence we have to make a common front of "Zero Tolerance";
because not only do we have to remember the people who die murdered at the hands of their partners, but also all those who suffer every day in their homes any kind of physical or psychological violence.
That is why we must continue to insist on prevention campaigns from all areas of society so that there is no need to complain about cases of gender violence.
