The Local Police continues the campaign to monitor improper parking (14/08/2018)

The Local Police of Totana maintains the campaign of surveillance and control of indiscipline in the parking lot in the different streets and highways of the municipality.

According to sources from the Department of Traffic and Public Safety, the aim is to continue with this initiative to control and monitor improper parking, preserving loading and unloading areas, vehicles and parking for the disabled, among others.

In this sense, special attention is being given to those situations that affect the safety of pedestrians on public roads and the operation of certain services.

In fact, in previous campaigns it was detected that the main infractions were related to parking in pedestrian zones.

The majority of sanctioned vehicles were on the sidewalk or obstructing pedestrian crossings or occupying in an abusive manner the areas authorized for loading and unloading, as well as those reserved for certain services or users.

In addition, special attention is paid to the monitoring of those parking lots that repeatedly and regularly occupy the lane intended for traffic on certain roads, as this generates numerous delays and dangerous maneuvers are caused to other drivers.

At the same time, the vigilance of the marked squares for vehicles that transport people with reduced mobility through the appropriate accreditation card is extreme.
