Unpleasant and regrettable acts

The sporting practice in school age constitutes one of the key elements of the educational process of children and young people.

Sport is therefore considered one of the most outstanding tools of our society to teach and transmit values, such as: loyalty, solidarity, companionship, equality, overcoming and tolerance.

However, there are more and more acts of violence and confrontations that take place in football fields, pavilions and other sports facilities, as reflected in the motion of the mayor of Sports.

The lack of sportsmanship, aggression and sport violence manifests itself in different ways and degrees according to: the personnel involved (athletes, spectators, coaches ...), the triggering situations (the context of a match, a training, the scoreboard partial during the game, etc.).

However, we all have an ethical and moral obligation to raise awareness about the importance of "fair play" in sports practice.

In order to reduce the acts of violence in sporting events, various organizations have been created to study this phenomenon and promote education to eliminate the root of this practice.

These include: The International Committee for Fair Play, the International Association for a Sport without Violence and the International Foundation for the Fight against Violence Associated with Sport.

The City of Totana through the Department of Sports has wanted to condemn in this legislature this type of events and put in value what is really important in sports.
