The Collective for Social Promotion "El Candil" has completed, during the last weeks, two training courses for the participants of the Labor Project, a step towards employability, which has the collaboration of the City Council of Totana and is financed by the Ministry of Family and Equal Opportunities through European funds.
A total of 35 people unemployed and in a situation of social vulnerability have benefited from these training actions.
The training carried out in the Business Incubator for Women of Alhama, has been the Course of Auxiliary Storage Operations (warehouse assistant), including the Occupational Risk Prevention and Practical Module (PRL) in the handling of forklift truck, in the that 17 people from the Labor Project have participated doing internships in the company "Hermanos Inglés", to obtain the forklift card.
The main objective of this training action has been to provide the participants with the necessary knowledge to function in this sector.
The course of Auxiliary Activities in Viveros, Jardines y Centros de Jardinería has also been completed in Totana, in which 18 people from the Labor Project participated, doing internships in the "La Almajara" association in Alhama.
The purpose of this training action, has been to provide participants with knowledge to perform auxiliary operations for the production and maintenance of plants, nurseries and garden centers and auxiliary operations for the maintenance of gardens, parks and green areas.
The two courses mentioned above are framed within the training actions developed by the Project "LABOR: A step towards employability".
This initiative is co-financed by the Murciano Institute of Social Action by 20% and by the European Social Fund by 80%.
This project aims to inform, train and guide unemployed people, and at risk of social exclusion, on aspects related to access to the world of work.
This initiative aims to support the labor insertion process of those people who actively seek a change in their unemployment situation and find themselves with special difficulties to achieve it.
Finally, it should be noted that in collaboration with the Union of Small Farmers of the Region of Murcia (UPA-Murcia), four training courses have been carried out that have complemented the training of Gardening carried out.
These four courses were held between the months of April and May at the facilities of the San Roque Social Center, of which a maximum of 25 people have benefited from each course.
Specifically, the following courses have been carried out: Basic Phytosanitary, Almond and Olive Grafting, Organic Farming and Start in the Fruit Pruning.
