Municipal authorities have recently inaugurated several training actions that will be developed during the coming weeks at the Local Development Center of Totana (CDL), located in the industrial estate "El Saladar", and with which it is intended to improve training and facilitate access to the labor market for unemployed people.
The mayor, Andrés García, the first deputy mayor and councilor for Economic Development and Industry, Juan José Cánovas, and the councilor for Training and Employment, wanted to know first hand the organized free courses and the needs of their participants in order to to continue with the policy of formative promotion under grants from other administrations and entities.
Local leaders have learned about the work that has been done in the free course for unemployed on "Cleaning in open spaces and industrial facilities", "English B1" and "Professional users of plant protection products, basic level", which are developed in the classrooms of the CDL completely free of charge and in which a total of fifty people are forming.
The free training course for unemployed people on "Cleaning in open spaces and industrial facilities" has a total of 15 participants and is intended for unemployed people in general registered in the office of the SEF;
and it is offered under a grant granted by the Regional Employment and Training Service of the Region of Murcia to the City for an amount of 12,675 euros.
In addition, a total of 15 people participate in the training course of "English B1" and is basically aimed at young beneficiaries of the Youth Guarantee System;
and it is also a subsidy granted by the Regional Employment and Training Service of the Region to the Totanero Consistory, with a total of 20,160 euros.
Finally, the action "Professional user of phytosanitary products: basic level" has a total of 20 places and is intended for people interested in the agricultural sector and in obtaining such accreditation card.
This course is taught by the Union of Small Farmers (UPA), in collaboration with the City of Totana, and is framed in the actions of professional training and acquisition of skills of the Rural Development program of the Region of Murcia 2014/2020 that finances the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development.
Finally, they have learned about the work that has been done in the free course "Psychoeducational Training for care of the elderly" (30 hours), in which 12 users participate in collaboration with the entity "Intergenerational Solidarity".
