The Department of Equality of the City of Totana has congratulated the CEIP "Tierno Galván" for the thematic choice of its Cultural Week, which has been on the standardized learning of household chores of the home, with the title "Living and learning."
This educational center celebrated this program from April 16 to 27, and this year it is reflected in a series of workshops that were focused on the daily tasks carried out at home by men and women.
Last Tuesday, April 24, the technique of the Department of Equality was invited by the school to learn about the different workshops that took place within its Cultural Week, and were focused on coeducation of students, from Early Childhood Education to Primary , promoting in them the different tasks that they can share at home.
From the Department emphasizes the monographic choice of workshops, promoting from childhood the concept of collaboration to be more autonomous in their day to day and not have to depend on another person to perform such simple tasks, such as making the bed or a simple breakfast;
and giving them the opportunity to develop in the concept of equality from childhood.
The activities have been carried out by the students of the center, with the help of parents, as well as teachers have volunteered to help.
The workshops have been divided into kitchen, DIY, sewing, laundry and bedroom;
which must continue at home with equal treatment for all.
