In the full past of the month of April the Popular Party presented a motion of urgency that had little to do with the defense of the Tajo Segura transfer, since the object of such a motion, as the statement goes, is none other than Peter's reprobation Sánchez.
That is to say something totally different that only shows intention to do politics and not defend the interests of the Region.
Neither the socialist mayor, Andrés García Cánovas, nor his team refused to debate the motion, and say they abstain "not to enter the game of the PP or enter into sterile debates that only harm and nothing contribute."
Likewise, García Cánovas states that "neither the spokesperson of the PP nor anyone in her group will be able to find a single statement denying support for the Tajo-Segura transfer and challenging them to take it out if they find it."
Since the PSOE of Totana has always been support to farmers and accompanied in their demands to demand water from the Government.
On the other hand, one more sample of the nonsense of the motion is that you can not fail to who does not hold an institutional position, as is the case of the Secretary General of the PSOE.
From the socialist party they consider "that it is a bad practice to reprove those who do not hold institutional or public office, it is dangerous to criminalize public demonstrations, not government actions".
The PP forgets how far were the times in which they had an absolute majority and everything was worth it.
The PSOE of Totana considers that if the objective had been the defense of the Tajo-Segura Transfer it would have occupied a preferential place in the motion, and not the disapproval with the sole objective of doing politics with the water.
The socialists condemn that the PP continue to make policy with water and not water policy, especially when there is a consensus document in the Regional Assembly to incorporate the future National Water Pact and President López Miras is delaying his signature.
Proving that when they govern they are not interested in finding solutions.
The mayor's position is clear, as he has stated repeatedly, as well as last Monday in the course of a press conference to journalists' questions, ratifying his defense at all costs of the Transfer of the Tagus;
the launching of full-scale desalination plants with a social price of water;
installation of photovoltaic plants to lower the price and construction of pipelines to take that water to the distribution points;
authorize the transfer of water between accounts and redotar the head of the Tagus.
