The Mayor of Totana, José Martínez Andreo, and the councilman of Social Welfare, Juan Carrion, accompanied by the national president of the Association Infirmorum Salus, María José García, this morning visited the centenarian totanera Ana Díaz Castro, to pay tribute through the delivery of a commemorative plaque to mark his birthday.
Ana Diaz, now 100 years old, has worked all his life in the country and different clearing houses, and currently resides in Geriatric Elderly "La Purisima" in the locality.
She has two children who visit regularly and three grandchildren.
During the tribute, the mayor gave him the old woman, who was clothed by his family, a memorial plaque institutional and roommates have given flowers, among other things.
He congratulated both Ana and their caregivers and family members present conveying the best wishes on behalf of the City of Totana and appreciative of the care and services provided "with such care and affection" to the elderly in the locality.
