Students in 4 th year of secondary school IES "Prado Mayor" of the town, participating in the "Empresa Joven Europea (EJE) with which it intends to introduce young people in the culture of business processes, have been submitted business plan to the Mayor of Totana, José Martínez Andreo, and Councilman of Industry, Development and Employment and Economic Development, Jose Antonio Valverde queen.
The initiative comes as a bid to include the entrepreneurial culture in schools under the Education Project "Empresa Joven Europea" that drive the Departments of Universities, Business and Research, and Education, Training and Employment, Cajamurcia, and Development Agency of Murcia region, which is the body responsible for coordinating it.
Currently, students 3 and 4 of compulsory secondary education in 28 centers in the region are participating in this initiative is framed within the Region of Murcia Emprendemos Plan.
Mayor Prado IES Project
Specifically, totaneros 18 students participating in the project have formed a cooperative business to know the normal functioning of a company, its risks and its contribution to the economy of the area in which it is located.
This is an educational project, as students explained during the presentation, which aims to train them as entrepreneurs, creating a cooperative to establish trade relations with the other in another part of Spain.
Through this initiative, students work together and help each other because in this project, expressed as "the protagonists are we" and to date have designed a logo, have chosen a name "Instiprado" have approved the statutes and each partner has contributed $ 10, and have become members of the cooperative called Giocare of Gijón.
With the creation of this cooperative, students expect to succeed in sales in the market which will take place at the HEI, which will be held June 2 in Murcia, with other cooperatives and to allocate part of profits to a charity as the Spanish Association Against Cancer.
The mayor of Totana and the Economic Development council, after holding a conversation with the students, who have explained step by step business plan, have expressed their satisfaction with entrepreneurial initiative that is taking the town, and have congratulated the school's educational community.
The Economic Development Councillor informed them of all services provided from the municipal department and aid provided to young entrepreneurs and start-up incubators in the locality.
For its part, the mayor said so "we take a step toward educational excellence with which we are committed, we bring the future to our students and open to them new horizons.
He highlighted the initiative that was founded with the aim of promoting the entrepreneurial spirit of students to create and manage their own cooperative in the likeness of a real entity, and face and make the appropriate arrangements to register or to seek funding and establish relationships business with other companies who buy and sell their products to market, and encouraged them to contribute to entrepreneurship in the municipality.
Presentation of mini-companies and selling products
The European Young Enterprise Education Project, which develops the 2009-2010 academic year, allows students to create and manage a cooperative national and international trade in which products cooperative exchange students from other countries or regions and the Spanish market.
In addition, it is expected that on June 2 a flea market takes place in a central area of Murcia, in which each cooperative students have a booth to sell their products to real.
This experience will allow them to practice the entrepreneurial skills, as well as show people the work done by these students as part of this innovative educational experience.
