The municipality will participate with a booth at the "III games for the integration of immigrants Murcia-Entreculturas" (22/04/2010)

The City Council of Totana, through the Department of Immigration of the Department of Social Welfare, will participate with its own stand at the "Third Exhibition of integration of immigrants in the Region of Murcia-Entreculturas", to be held this weekend week of 23 to 25 April at the fairgrounds IFEPA of Torre Pacheco.

This meeting, which will open tomorrow, Friday 23 April at 17:00 will be attended by the Mayor of Totana, José Martínez Andreo, and the councilman of Social Welfare, Juan Carrion Tudela.

This fair aims to be a useful tool for immigrants, an open forum where visitors can obtain all the necessary guidance for its full integration, an encounter with their culture and traditions, and a showcase for all products and services that are part more genuine demands of these groups, as reported by the municipal official of the Department of Immigration, Juan Carrion Tudela.

The City Council will have a stand which will provide and disseminate information and visual graphics of the actions and initiatives on immigration that have been developed since the Municipal Programme for Integration and Intercultural Coexistence of Social Welfare Department and from other local institutions and work and represent this group.

It also exhibited a variety of reasons and objects from the multicultural richness present in the town of Totana.

Moreover, since the Service is designed and organized in collaboration with various associations of immigrants from the town, an extensive program of performances of musical expression, folklore and crafts, which contribute to and enhance the image and spirit of the city welcoming and intercultural Totana.

The area councilor stressed the commitment and the commitment that the City of Totana has maintained for the enhancement of intercultural coexistence and integration of immigrant collective.

He recalled the positive experience in terms of distribution and social and institutional recognition, was attended by the City Council of Totana in this initiative in the past editions, given the great reception that took the diverse sample of activities that were announced and developed from the stand that reflected the municipal and local policies developed by the municipality for the integration of immigrants and intercultural harmony.

Admission is free and the public opening hours are 11:00 to 21:00.
