Councilwoman Women and Equal Opportunities, Josefa María Méndez Sánchez, attended the Storytelling Equality, organized by the Women's Socio-Cultural Association of Totana, into the planning of activities to commemorate International Women's Day, March 8 .
The Women's Socio-Cultural Association of Totana, which performs throughout the year various activities within its cultural programs, stressed the workshop Storytelling and Theatre Workshop.
The event consisted of reading the winning story in the adult category "One of April ... .. March 8, Arantxa Ortiz de Gijón (Asturias), read by Vicente Martínez, a member of that association.
Then proceeded to read the winning story in the junior category, entitled "The old grandfather with a concept," Gass Jason Martinez of Colegio Reina Sofia, which was read by Ana Tudela, also a member of the association.
Subsequently read other children's stories about equality, by Catherine, Lali, Nuria and Rosi, ending the event with a small theatrical representation of humor: "New friendships," which was performed by Concha, Rosa and Jose Antonio.
Finally, the Women and Equality council welcomed the participation and involvement of the association in the activities marking the International Women's Day and congratulated them for the actions carried out in the theatrical performance was a success, with the public very entertaining, and spending an evening of fun with the play and reading stories in both child and adult category.
It also encouraged women to continue to develop this type of cultural activities.
