The X Meeting of the School Council of the Region of Murcia presented under the theme "Education, Family and Technology" starts tomorrow, Thursday, March 4 with a round table (03/03/2010)

The conference will be held from traveling on 4 March to 15 April in twelve municipalities of the Region

The Councillor for Education, Trini Cayuela, and School Board President of the Region of Murcia, Luis Navarro Candel, accompanied by councilors of Education of seven municipalities, presented the activities organized to mark the tenth meeting of the School Council Region Murcia included under the theme "Education, family and technology", and that will take place from 4 March to 15 April in twelve municipalities of the Region.

The mayor expressed his satisfaction for hosting the presentation of this conference, which opens tomorrow, Thursday, March 4 at 19:00 pm in the Exhibition Hall of the town Cebrián Gregorio, who will host a panel discussion on the topic of new information technologies and communication.

This "X School Board Meeting of the Region of Murcia", along with local school boards from 12 populations in the region, provides a program with a series of roundtables with the participation of nine renowned experts, aimed at entire school community and especially to parents, students and other groups related to education.

The contents of the panel discussions will focus on new technologies in education, the use of Information Technology and Communication (ICT) at home, the benefits and risks of Social Networking and learning from the experiences use of ICT.

At each location there will be a roundtable with the participation of four speakers.

These days, as Luis Navarro said Candel, we analyze the extent and possible effects of new technologies, reflect on the impact of Internet on society, evaluate the benefits and risks of technologies in the teaching and provide direction families on the Internet at home.

The new technologies of information and communication, as the president said Regional School Board, "impact on our society by forcing us to look for strategies in the educational environment to efficiently absorb their full potential and prevent its obvious risks."

In addition, the changing society requires the gradual introduction of these technological advances in the home and poses new responsibilities to parents in the education of their children, because "the information they provide makes them a powerful tool for learning and research but also in an open door to the dangers of certain social networks or inappropriate content, "explained Luis Navarro.

He also stressed the new responsibilities facing parents in the education of children, since new technologies have become an important tool for learning and research.

The conference will have the cooperation of the Directorate General of Promotion, Management and Educational Innovation, the Center for Language and Communication (CPR) Molina de Segura and the Integra, as well as the towns of Totana, Eagles, Calasparra, Caravaca de la Cruz, Cartagena, Cieza, Las Torres de Cotillas, Lorca, Murcia, Puerto Lumbreras, San Javier and Yecla.

Finally, the Councillor for Education, which gave some gifts to commemorate the town, called on parents to participate in this roundtable, which takes place tomorrow, Thursday, March 4, in which participants can increase their knowledge education on new technologies.
