Councillors and Alternative Energy Development and Employment of Totana Lorca have participated in the presentation of the study "Business opportunities in the region of Guadalentín" (14/12/2009)

Alternative Energy Councillors, José Antonio Valverde Queen, and the Development and Employment, Trini Cayuela, participated this morning in Lorca in the presentation of the findings of the study 'Business opportunities in the Shire of Guadalentín', in which have identified 46 sites for business, among which renewable energy, tourism, logistics, recycling of plastics and industrial activities and services provided, submitted by the hand of the Minister of Universities, Business and Research, Salvador Marín.

The study estimates that nearly a thousand professional activities related to direct or induced the 46 business opportunities expected to mobilize public and private investment of 982 million euros and the creation and maintenance of 17,160 jobs.

Marin said in the filing that "the opportunities which includes the study and possible implementation of important projects an increase of turnover of existing businesses and the generation of new entrepreneurs and new businesses."

These projects include the expansion Footwear Technology Center and Plastics and the creation of a plastic incubator in Alhama, investments in solar thermal plants and the implementation of a solar module manufacturing facility, construction of two wind farms, the Noksel business project spiral tube production, with 30 million investment and 700 jobs, or the construction of a tannery.

In addition, the Minister stressed "the importance of Lorca's campus as a magnet generator and the relationship between university, industry and research from the Ministry urge."
