The Department of Public Safety proposes to the Plenary the adoption of the Territorial Plan of civil protection or emergency in the municipality of Totana (23/10/2009)

The Department of Public Safety has submitted a proposal to be discussed at the Full Council of Totana, to be held on Thursday 29 October, to pass the Civil Protection Territorial Plan of the municipality, in order to respond to all potential risks that might be affected municipality of Totana.

Councilman field, Roque Molina Legaz, said the Territorial Plan of the municipality or Civil Protection Municipal Emergency Plan is the provision of organic-functional framework and mechanisms for mobilizing human and material resources necessary for protecting people and property in case of serious collective risk, catastrophe or public calamity, and the scheme of coordination between different government called upon to intervene in the area of the municipality. "

Also, the mayor said that this plan should determine the hierarchical and functional structure of municipal authorities to intervene, also establishing the coordination of resources and public and private, taking into account the hierarchical and functional structure of higher level plans .

This plan has been developed, as Legaz Molina said, "to respond to any potential risks that may affect the town of Totana, which can be natural hazards, technological hazards or man-made hazards."
