The council hires unemployed 14 (06/10/2009)

The City Council of Totana, through the departments of Development, Employment and Education has hired a total of 14 unemployed individuals in the implementation of a program funded by the Employment and Training Service of the Region of Murcia (SEF) and cofinanced by the European Social Fund (ESF) for the provision of services for the Reconciliation of Work and Family Life and is aimed at children from 4 months old to twelve years.

This program, which began life on 1 October, will have a duration of 9 months, and cover until June 30, 2010, with the hiring of 14 monitors leisure-time, to be held in all schools and municipal schools in the three children of Totana.

The main objective of this program initiated by the City will be possible to reconcile work and family life while closer and provide meaningful experiences to children through recreational and educational processes as a means of socializing, sharing personal experiences and leading to common experiences of children who encourage interaction within the environment.

In this regard, Council Member Development and Employment, Trini Cayuela, explained that "we were detecting increasing needs in the field of reconciling work and family life, and from the government team we felt that this service can get comprehensive and holistic manner, a comprehensive development of children and youth "

In the same way, largely enable access to employment for many women who do not have the necessary support for this from the extended family.

Furthermore, from an educational point of view, stated that "we consider necessary to connect the learning processes of children with leisure and cultural processes that get treated globalizing comprehensive development thereof."

Ultimately, the purpose of this service is to extend the normal opening hours of schools in Totana, Monday to Friday to allow the reconciliation of working parents with children in each of the centers of Totana, and that have been all schools in the municipality who have requested this program, including the three primary schools.

Children leisure activities carried out accompanied by a monitor at each center.

From the Department of Public Works and Employment reported that although the first deadline for requesting the use of this service is finished, parents who are interested in this service, the period will remain open for a few days.

To apply, must include the application in the Citizen Service Totana City Council (SAC), Sociocultural Center Jail and Social Services of James Street.
