The 2009/10 school year will start next Monday 14 September with the development of municipal schools and the various schools of the locality, whose refurbishment and adaptation have already been completed with a budget of over € 20,000 as informed the Councillor for Education, Trini Cayuela.

The City "has made an effort so that every time there are better educational facilities in the locality, as committed to offering quality education, with more and better services for the educational community," according to the mayor said, noting that the work repair indoor and outdoor and fitness have been carried out by operatives of the Department Store Municipal Services and Comprehensive Maintenance of the City.

In terms of investment made by the City Council of Totana in the maintenance of the different schools this year to the amount of 21,130 euros.

Specifically, the CEPI "Santiago" has been carried out painting work on the banks of the courtyard, stair railings have been painted volleyball poles, walls, ground floor, the facade, the children's playground, three classrooms and the dying of the track, with a budget of 4,070 euros.

Also in the CEIP "Guadalentín" El Paretón has built a wall to separate two offices and have painted them with a budget of 2,350 euros, and the CEIP "Deitania" have painted the vicinity of the track and sockets of the facade as well as educational support for an amount of 1,250 euros.

Similarly, in the CEIP "Tierno Galván" several classrooms have been painted by an amount of 2,400 euros, and the Lebor CEIP, has installed a fountain in the courtyard, bins have been placed, the door has been painted and goals, repairing the basket, made repairs and painting plaster is damp and the old kitchen for an amount of 1,500 euros.

On the other hand, in the Infant School "Clara Campoamor" is painted inside the building, has placed gravel in the yard and carried out drainage works in the basement at a cost of 9,110 euros, and the School Municipal "Carmen Baró" has changed the washer and dryer, toilet and proceeded to paint the patio and benches for an amount of 450 euros.
