The second phase of the construction of public lighting in a stretch of road "Virgen de la Paloma" has been completed and put into operation coinciding with the celebration of the holiday totanera area this weekend, as reported by Councilwoman Planning and Development, María José Bedia.
Work to install streetlights, which were adjudicated by an amount of 10,000 euros, consisted in placing a total of 10 lighting points in a half-mile length, with a good distribution of the lights on the road.
This is a work which, as noted by the mayor, comes in response to requests for services and infrastructure of the locals, most of them with many second homes, and will help to improve safety and quality of life of residents.
The mayor recalled that the work of public lighting of the first phase, which was inaugurated last year by the same dates, were executed for an amount of 14,876.30 euros, and consisted of placing a total of 12 points lighting in a half-mile length.
