The work on the streets of San Francisco and El Salvador later this week (24/03/2009)

The first projects of the Plan of Works and Services 2008, conducted by the Department of Planning and Sustainable Development in the streets of San Francisco de Asis and street El Salvador completed this week.

This has been explained Councillor for Planning and Sustainable Development, María José Bedia, during the course of the visit to the works that are running in the district of San Francisco.

Specifically, in this area have been replaced and expanded sidewalks, replaced the general services, sanitation and water supply on Calle San Francisco de Assisi, which will be paved.

The work is being conducted by the firm Urbis, amounting to 77,950 euros.

Also, sidewalks are being replaced, sanitation, sidewalks have been widened and paved street is El Salvador, in its second phase.

This work, which also ends this week, has been awarded to the same company for a value of 70,430 euros.

As the mayor explained, these works were intended to consolidate the various neighborhoods of Totana, to make the best and in optimal conditions commonly used public space.

This Plan Works and Services (POS) 2008 has been funded by the Ministry of the Presidency of the Autonomous Community of Murcia Region with 521,579 euros and 57,950 euros municipal contribution.

The mayor of Planning has indicated that the other works included in the POS 2008 will begin once the Holy Week, as if they are performed now would hamper the normal transit of the processions.

In this regard, he explained that the sidewalks are replaced and general street Bolivia with an amount of 113,133 euros, the street and the street Antonio Garrigues UVic, amounting to 70,700 euros, will replace the sidewalks of Calle Virgen the castle and the cobbled street and Barranco Rodenas, amounting to 90,750 euros.

In addition, the council has stressed that also will start work in the ways of Hornico and New Way (from the sewage to the river Guadalentín).
