The Department of Culture and Tourism has submitted a motion to be discussed at the regular plenary session next Tuesday January 27, which proposes the creation of a Tourism Promotion Plan for the town of Totana, in order to diversify economy to continue generating wealth and meet demand by citizens and visitors about the cultural and tourist center.
To achieve this purpose, the Councillor for Culture and Tourism has proposed scheduling a series of strategies that challenge is economic diversification to continue generating wealth, mainly through the development of services sectors, industry and tourism.
Thus, as noted by the council in the industry, Ana Belén García, "will proceed to the attraction of investments and the implementation of projects with a professional and orderly growth respecting the environment, that is sustainable in every these productive sectors, which are the steps that must be taken to diversify the economy. "
Also, the mayor pointed out that the town of Totana belongs to the Commonwealth Tourism Services Espuña near the towns of Aledo, Alhama, Mula and Pliego, and is part of Espuña Tourist Consortium, with the same municipalities cited above.
Therefore, and given that both entities have as one of its objectives boosting tourism in the municipalities that comprise Espuña, has been the need to provide the town of Totana of a local tourism revitalization plan, regardless of the carried out by the Commonwealth and the Tourist Services Consortium Espuña as "Totana has become a modern city today and facing the demands of citizens and visitors about the cultural and tourism in the same" .
