The Department of Health has carried out in school, "Reina Sofia" a workshop for the prevention of childhood obesity and a healthy breakfast, aimed at children aged 3 and 4 Primary, in order to make known the basics nutrition.
Through the development of these activities is to help children learn to eat properly and have a healthy lifestyle, explained Councillor for Health, Trini Cayuela, who noted that this will teach them the benefits of physical activity and the importance of fruits and vegetables in your diet through a food pyramid that they create.
To implement the lessons learned throughout the morning, the City offered a healthy breakfast which advised children to choosing foods for school lunch every day.
The activity, as reported by the technique nutritionist, had a significant participation by students and teachers of the school, who were at all times willing to participate in all planned activities and thanked the head of the school for giving the opportunity to do this activity in their school.
These actions are being part of the program for Prevention of Childhood Obesity that develops in the city of Totana through the Department of Health and by a grant awarded by the Regional Employment Service and Training Department Education, Training and Employment.
