Opening of the rehabilitation work of the Tower of the Church of Santiago (12/07/2008)

The Mayor of Totana, José Martínez Andreo, the Town Planning, Juan Carrion Tudela, and the pastor of the church Santiago El Mayor, Francisco Fructuoso, proceed to the opening of the remains of rehabilitation of the iconic Torre de la Parroquia de Santiago The Mayor of Totana, in order to recover the historical, cultural and religious, in a ceremony to be held on Sunday July 13 around one o'clock.

This act is framed in the Festival Program, organized on the occasion of the celebrations to be held in the town in honor of its patron, St. James.

The cost of the works, which have been financed by the municipality totanero, through the Department of Planning, amounts to the amount of 344,000 euros, and have implemented over a period of 7 months.

The restoration works have been undertaken by Antonio García builder and architect of the project, Francisco and Pablo José López Guerao Egea, who have been worth not only the tower, but also all the rooms which include in their volume and are crossed as one moves through it.
