Totana the 175 children whose parents had applied to join the municipal nursery schools "Clara Campoamor" and "Carmen Baró, respectively, have been provisionally admitted for the next school year 2008/2009, so that the Department of Education complies their commitment not to leave any student out of 1 and 2 years of the municipality, said the mayor of the sector, Roque Molina.
The councilman was speaking on the occasion of his visit with the mayor, José Martínez Andreo, at two municipal primary schools to learn first hand by the end of the course, the needs in terms of services and infrastructure for the coming year and review the maintenance of both schools in the longer end.
City officials also announced that for the next school year will be operational the new Infant School being built in the neighborhood of El Parral, and that in its first phase includes the commissioning of four new classrooms, along with IES "Juan de la Cierva ".
In this way, the City will bid for the next school year to 280 seats in the various departments of the municipal nursery schools, since it has gotten a commitment from the Directorate General of Local Government to equip the new nursery school in the Parral.
Both the mayor and the council emphasized the professional and human quality of professionals and monitors support both serving in schools and stressed the need for this type of visit to see "up close and operationally" the needs of services provided by both schools.
They also learned about the preparations being carried out for the closure of the course in the two municipal primary schools and the demands made by representatives of AMPA of "Clara Campoamor.
Finally, the mayor referred to the center works to reconcile work and family life that is being built in the industrial park "The Saladar" and ending in late 2008.
