The Archaeological Museum of Murcia hosts the presentation of the two archaeological guides (21/01/2016)

The Archaeological Museum of Murcia yesterday hosted the presentation of the two archaeological guides which are invited to travel back along the argárica footprint that sits at the foot of Sierra Espuña, and do so by visiting three of the most representative sites in the region: La Bastida and Canvas Strip in Totana;

and The Almoloya in Pliego.

The event was attended by the director of research and director general of Cultural Heritage, Maria Comas team.

A virtual tour or field to which he invited the 'Route argárica Espuña' project, promoted by the team of researchers from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB) since 2008 working in the excavations of these sites, and presented yesterday in the Archaeological Museum of Murcia (MAM).

The project consists of two archaeological guides, published by Integral, Society for Rural Development and the UAB, and a website (www.ruta-argarica.es) page with all kinds of information about the sites, where you can find photographs , videos and 3D reconstructions of what these enclaves in their period of apogee, now makes around 3,000 years.

The project's main objective is the enhancement of each of these three archaeological sites, but also the economic and cultural promotion of areas that are located.

Along with the guides, researchers from the UAB Rafael Micó, Celdrán Eva and Roberto Risch presented the monograph "Early research in La Bastida (1869-2005) ', in which the proceedings have been conducted in this field are collected from its discovery in the late nineteenth century to 2005.

The book, whose production archaeologists also participated UAB and Vicente Lull Rihuete Cristina, looking for archaeological research provide new data enclave.

The appointment also served to publicize the two campaigns of consolidation that have taken place in recent months in Almoloya and Canvas Strip financed by the UAB and European funds.

These guidelines have been presented this week to the Municipal Corporation of Totana and in the course of a conference held Monday at the Socio-Cultural Center "Jail" to the rest of the local society.
