Sunday, November 22, the fourth day of hiking program, offered by the Department of Sports in collaboration with a known totanera company, whose path was directed by José García Huescar and passed by the Sierra de la Fausilla held, located on the coast of the municipality of tailings and Gorguel beach.
The twenty-seven participants who gathered in this activity had made a tour of 13 km tracks and mountain paths, enjoying beautiful views of the coast, the mountains and the sea, entering and exploring some of the abandoned military buildings and installations.
They also had the opportunity to recall some of the stories that were experienced during the Civil War, as the sinking of the transport ship "Castillo de Olite" on March 7, 1936 by one of the shore batteries.
Participants also learned about through explanations monitor the living conditions and daily life of the soldiers who populated these facilities between 1930 and 1990.
The day went smoothly and although with a slight wind, the day was clear and the coast visualized.
