The Municipal Program Family Support intervened with 88 families with performance problems, coexistence and violence during the first half of 2014.
In these families live a total of 179 minors, who represent the greatest motivation of program activities in order to promote their proper development and protection.
This figure, representing a 27% increase over the same period last year, reflecting the priority from the Primary Care Social Services want to give to these proceedings before the growing increase of these problems at the family level.
The performances of this -of educational and psycho-social nature program is primarily aimed at guiding, supporting and empowering families with relationship problems and coexistence in order to prevent and address these situations, especially for the benefit of children, their members more avoiding vulnerable situations disintegration and / or family separation.
In addition, the program aims to empower parents in the proper exercise of their role.
The characteristics that are the target of the program are families;
families with children at risk or helplessness;
disadvantaged or at-risk families;
single parents with any kind of difficulty;
high social risk pregnancies;
families within which domestic violence occurs;
and problems of family conflict and / or situations of separation or divorce.
These cases are usually referred to the Municipal Social Services by various public and private entities such as educational centers, health center, local police and Civil Guard, Autonomous Protective Services Family and Children, and so on.
