The BORM publishes the notice of contract works called "Termination of improving intersection with a roundabout located at the junction of the road N-340 to the Rambla de La Santa" (25/01/2015)

The BORM (Official Gazette of the Region of Murcia) published last Friday January 23 the notice of contract works called "Termination of improving intersection with a roundabout located at the junction of the N-340 to the Rambla de The Holy "

The contracting authority is the City of Totana, the tender base budget is € 209,981.60 VAT and the deadline for submission of bids is February 5, 2015 (URGENT processing).

As indicated in the Project, in order to give purpose to "Project to improve intersection with a roundabout located at the junction of the Ctra. N-340 with the Rambla de Santa" whose performance was included in improvements the work of "Management of the N-340 for processing at Avda. Urban passing through the Rambla de la Santa.

The causes that have led to write this new project has been on technical, economic and aesthetic reasons, because in the course of the works have emerged unforeseen not considered in the initial project which have had to be solved, and consequently not has been available budget to run other games making it impossible to complete the work in its entirety.

Overall, these reasons were as follows:


A.1) has been detected, through tastings, that no artificial gravel layer on firm located in the transition zones between the Avda. Juan Carlos I and the "Enlargement West" bridge, which is considered UNACCEPTABLE from the technical point of view to implementing a road sign provided that rests on a layer of selected soil as is the case.

A.2) is detected by means of tasting, which in Avda. Juan Carlos I ONLY THERE a layer of 10-15 cm.

A.6) Install all necessary elements for the operation of the traffic lights (they were only including staffs and traffic lights in the initial project).


B.1) Using columns and luminaries of the same characteristics as in Avda. Juan Carlos I (with a corresponding increase in price) at the request of the technical administration.

B.2) paving sidewalks Avda. Juan Carlos I using the same cobblestone and provision in this avenue (with a corresponding increase in price) at the request of management personnel.

B.3) Increased gardening game so that no feeling that the work is not finished, at the request of management personnel.

B.4) Pitching the wall channeling the same slope as the existing project in the initial slope of 90 degrees was considered.

B.5) Support on placement of artificial stone railing on the entire stretch amended the indictment as well as the two sides of the bridge.


With the amount for improvements corresponding to the completion of the extension of the existing bridge (which was 70,000 €) work, and taking into account the changes that have been and to do from the technical and aesthetic is unworkable end corresponding to the intersection improving work because the budget has increased by about 100%
