The archaeological site of argárico park "La Bastida" Totana will open later this year 2014 for national and international promotion and dissemination in the educational, cultural and tourist areas, explained the mayor, Maria Isabel Sánchez, following his meeting with the president of the regional government, Ramón Luis Valcárcel.

He reported that soon will begin work and conditioning access to the perimeter security of the park and the parking spaces, which will be covered by EU funds Leader.
He also reiterated the intention of both governments to value the archeological park exploiting the "differentiator" that presents the new wall appeared in the work of excavation undertaken in recent months.

Totana, European reference
The president has evaluated along with the mayor's actions being carried in Totana to consolidate the draft European Grouping of Territorial Cooperation Cities of Ceramics.

The way forward, according to the councilor, is to strengthen European funded projects that promote education, economic development, culture and tourism under the common theme of ceramics.
