The Guardia Civil of the Region of Murcia has developed in recent days related to an investigation commission of several crimes of fraud that has led to the arrest of two women in Totana as alleged perpetrators of this type of crime, and other crimes robbery and theft.

With the operation has failed to prevent the commission of a new scam by scam method called "tocomocho", seizing all the necessary equipment to carry out this type of scam.

At arrested are charged with a total of 31 crimes committed in various parts of the country.

The investigations began after the Meritorious agent observed on a street in Totana how two women initiated an exchange of envelopes with another person, a circumstance that raised suspicions of the agent to be a proper technique known as scam "tocomocho".

After that, the Meritorious start an investigation in order to identify suspicious and clarify the reason for the exchange of the envelopes.

Agents specialized in safety prevention, managed to surprise the alleged scam in the act, while carrying out a new scam accompanying a victim to withdraw money from a bank to exchange it for envelopes stuffed with papers, so it is proceeded to arrest and the seizure of all supplies to consummate the crime.

Continuing the investigation, the Meritorious could see how the suspects used false names, so it had to be identified by his fingerprints.

After ascertaining their real names emerged that several arrests had outstanding units concerned with enforcement and judicial authorities from around the country, resulting from the commission of many crimes, including fraud, robbery and theft.

In this scam, the alleged perpetrators as victims chose mainly foreigners, elderly or in financial need.

To give more credibility to your strategy, one of the detainees now pretending to be mentally or physically impaired.

They offered their sights a supposed winning lottery ticket into believing that its urgent, they could not wait to collect them.

At the same time showed some publication where it appeared the winning number to convince them of the veracity of his story.

At other times taught their victims an envelope, without opening it, which, as claimed, there was plenty of money, then asking an amount less than the total prize, jewelry or other valuables.

Later, the missing scam, the victim tried to collect the winning ticket, when it was informed by the lottery of the falsity of the same.

In the same vein, in the case of the above full of papers, the victim discovered the deception once the alleged criminals had already left the place.

With these arrests have managed to clear four events by the same method, the thymus of "tocomocho" in the Region of Murcia, three in Totana and one in Jumilla.

In total, the Guardia Civil has clarified 31 crimes committed in different parts of the country: 24 crimes of fraud, five counts of theft and two counts of armed robbery.

Also have seized several jewels and money from the crimes, as well as various tools for the commission of crimes.

Detained

In the operation have been arrested on suspicion of crime of fraud, two people identified as:

- Cuban, 31, who lives in Madrid.

- Cuban, 41, who lives in Madrid.

The detainees have numerous precedents for committing similar crimes.

Seized

Have been seized tools used to trick victims as white envelopes with folded simulating propaganda papers contain lots of notes, some propaganda sheets ready to be introduced into the envelopes, various jewelry and three mobile phones, in addition to 285 euros cash and some foreign currency notes.

The detained, seized property proceedings initiated and have been made available to the Court of Instruction No. 2 Totana (Murcia).
