The Department of Public Safety and Emergency Closing the Driver Education course 2012/13 (19/06/2013)

The Department of Public Safety, from the local police area, has terminated last May 31 all the activities included in the Driver Education program 2012/13, in the course of which involved a total of 2,400 students in Early Childhood Education and all primary schools in Totana.

This training initiative, which was coordinated by the new Road Safety Education Team integradp by two agents of the local police, began on January 8, imparting both theoretical sessions in each school, and practice, offered in the existing driver education park in the urbanization "El Parral".

In the new project involving a total of 380 kindergarten students in 17 classrooms spread between 11 totaling Totana College, where he taught theoretical and interactive sessions.

The little ones ages 5 and 6 years took a first contact on road safety as pedestrians (where, how and in what way you walk around town) and as passengers when going by car (where, how and how should behave).

Moreover, also involved a total of approximately 2,080 primary school children, first course, second, third, fourth, fifth and sixth, aged between 6 and 13 years, divided into 104 classrooms from 11 Schools Totana.

To these notions were given pedestrian both city and highway driving, handling and refinement of the bicycle as a city and road drivers as well as an introduction to traffic signs, for these courses were delivered two lectures and practical class which will be held in the Education Park Road Totana.

This year, in addition to the participation of students and Primary talks were also offered to the students of Mentally Handicapped Occupational Center "José Moya Trilla" video classes and practicals.

Similarly, the program was expanded to students in PCPI Sociocultural Center "Jail", to which he lectures taught in driver education, first aid, alcohol and drugs and driving, among other issues.

The Department acknowledges the assistance of the Foundation "Mapfre Road Safety", which selflessly donated educational material to road safety education team of the local police of Totana, to improve the quality of the lectures.
