Totana Four women, two groups of workers and templates Residence La Purisima and Santa Eulalia Agricultural were honored last night during the official ceremony organized by the Department of Women and Equal Opportunities and held in the cultural center "Jail" coinciding with International Women's Day.

This was attended by a large audience, among which were municipal authorities, representatives of associations and collective proponents, relatives and friends of the honorees and employees of entities receiving such recognition.

The event began with a welcome by Councilwoman Women and Equal Opportunities, Eulalia Sandoval, reading the manifesto and institutional approved by the full City Council Totana, at the initiative of the three municipal groups with representation by the President of the Association of Residents of the neighborhood Olympic-Pears, Lali Ponce.

Next, different women honored the municipality that have outstanding professional or personal, which were proposed by various associations and groups of Totana, who received a bouquet of flowers and a certificate commemorating this anniversary.

So, these were handed awards to Ana Maria Lopez, a proposal from the Association of Women Entrepreneurs of Totana; Miñaarro Isabel Carrasco, a proposal from the residents of the neighborhood association of Olympic-Pears, shop equipment kitchen seniors, a proposal from the Association Infirmorum Salus; Justa Canovas, a proposal from the Association of Housewives and The Three Hail Marys users; Antonia Victoria Victoria, a proposal from New Generations People's Party, and the figure of the retired teacher, a proposal by the Partido Popular.

Also recognized workers templates Residence La Purisima, a proposal of Socialist Youth and Agrícola Santa Eulalia, on the proposal of the Socialist Party and the Association of Housewives "begin to walk."

In addition, the Equal Opportunities Council gave a diploma to nearly fifty retired teachers and members of Totana Cooking Course on Aging.

This annual competition aims to recognize and promote the work of individuals or legal entities that have contributed so relevant or important in defending the values ​​that promote gender equality.

This initiative intends to promote the policies of equal opportunity and treatment for women and men, and thus contribute to improving the situation of women in Totana.

The mayor congratulated the women's associations for social advocacy and family being made in this county and acknowledged the work that has been done Equality Municipal Council this year.

He acknowledged that all honorees will see the reflection of the sacrifice, the effort and the good work we do for women, especially, to reconcile family and working life.
