MANIFESTO INSTITUTIONAL INTERNATIONAL DAY WORKING WOMEN MARCH 8.

"Today, March 8, commemorating the United Nations Day for Women's Rights and International Peace. A day for reflection on the situation of women. One day, still, a century after its introduction, still need to celebrate.

Western societies have successfully traveled much of the road to equality, but we still have.

Therefore, we must continue iuchando to achieve real equality and to end the bitter face of inequality: gender violence.

These are not easy times.

The economic situation we are going through affects everyone, but especially women.

Unemployment is much higher in the group of women than in men, which adds that there is still a wage gap, which places women in a particularly vulnerable and disadvantaged.

Women are an essential element in all areas: social, economic, family, and society must respect our ability to make decisions and choices about how to deal with our life.

We have to overcome the stereotypes of women relegated back to the home and the care of dependents.

We have to maintain and create, if necessary, new mechanisms that offer us the freedom to choose.

We can not allow the economic crisis we spin the labor market and social participation, because we would be taking a step backwards in equality policies that cost us so much work for decades, consolidate in Spain.

Now more than ever, we need men and women to cooperate with our efforts to overcome the current economic situation.

It is therefore imperative that we work together to steward and optimization of resources at our disposal, in sustaining the family and in the work of reconciliation of private and professional life.

In Totana defend and believe in democratic society based on the principles of equality, justice and solidarity.

Thus, the decline in the financial resources can not be an excuse to cut our rights.

It is crucial that we continue to fight for them.

In the twenty-first century, it is not fair that women feel discriminated against us by the fact of being a woman.

We must maintain our commitment to make ourselves visible in all areas of life.

We must support policies that represent and empower women, because only then will get the most just and sustainable society to which we aspire.

Social progress is measured by the level of welfare and recognition of the rights of the individual, whether male or female, and is the full collection of individual rights in equality makes us freer, more just and more united.

Equality between women and men, to Concepción Arenal, Clara Campoamor and Victoria Kent was almost a utopia, it is at our fingertips thanks to the efforts we have put everyone on the rights of women.

We must continue with the same determination and perseverance.

We do it for the precursors of this struggle, which opened our eyes, by women who unfortunately died by violence against women, by women and girls who in many parts of the world are denied their fundamental rights recognized in Declaration of Human Rights.

For our daughters, to whom we owe a fairer society, and also by our mothers, who fought so that we were not victims as many of them as a society were relegated to the background, and make this March 8 a holiday so accomplished, and reaffirmation in the fight for real equality. "
