The 061 emergency Management of the Region of Murcia received in 2012 a total of 233,144 calls of which 3010 were Totana and of these, 2143 are required to mobilize some kind of health resource.
So far in 2013, according to provisional data from the Health Emergency Management, there have been 430 calls that needed health care and resources mobilized 328.
Currently, the municipality has a Totana Emergency Department of Primary Care (PCES) working in ten doctors and ten nurses.
So, Monday to Saturday, in the morning, there is a doctor and a nurse, and in the afternoon and evening, two doctors and two nurses, while on Sundays there are two doctors and two nurses 24 hours a day.
