Students of IES "Juan de la Cierva" and "High Meadow" involved in the first project activity Socorro, wanna be digital! (30/01/2013)

A group of 16 students of the IES "Prado Mayor" and "Juan de la Cierva and Codorniú" Totana participated last Saturday in the first activity of the project Socorro, wanna be digital!, Which promotes the proper use of technologies information and will be a Trainers School plans to go for adult education in new technologies, and especially in social networks.

This project is developed within Youth Initiatives European Youth in Action Programme, according to sources of the Youth Council totanero Consistory.

After the completion of the campaign to attract young people in both IES, interested and motivated in the subject, have selected 11 young people together at 5 youth correspondents, will conduct the youth initiative.

The first activity carried out, has been the warm-up, where 16 young people have made a day together, during which the first received training and have shaped their work schedule.

Young people have received training on the safe and responsible use of the Internet, has been given by staff of the National Association Protégeles, which is the National Internet Safety, and take care to train children to carry their reporting and preventive to the companies they work for their parents, thus facilitating intergenerational encounter and enabling the "digital natives" discover their potential employability in the field of new technologies.

During this meeting were accompanied by staff of the Association The dry, which is the entity that has represented youth and together with the City of Totana Informajoven advised on the preparation and presentation of the project at the National Youth Agency Action and the Program Coordinator of youth correspondents DG Gender Violence Prevention, Youth, Legal Protection of Children and Reform in the Region of Murcia.

The next event will be held in February for two weekends, and where young people continue to receive the training necessary to train parents and reduce the digital divide between generations.
