Totana City Council has estimated at 1.5 million valuation estimate of damage caused by torrential rains last September 28 on public roads in the municipality, and that mainly affects the damage caused to the firm and pavements rural road network in the lower districts.

The municipal officers of the Department of Infrastructure, Housing, and Maintenance of the City and Roads last week ended its opinion on the necessary work and its evaluation to proceed to its reconstruction, restoration or upgrading of roads damaged as appropriate.

To this is added the estimated cost of the work needed to repair the damage to municipal buildings amounting to a total of 334,400 euros.

The Consistory has managed since the end of September over a hundred kilometers of rural roads, according to the report, and in some cases have required urgent reconstruction and replacement, as they try to roads vital to access properties private farms and livestock.

The storm caused damage in most public buildings of the town, with the town hall (33,700 euros), the IES "Prado Mayor" (38,500 euros) Old Institute (23,600 euros), the Occupational Center (17,300 euros), the CEIP "Santiago" (11,500 euros) and the House of Contributions (10,500 euros), where more damage occurred.

In addition, damage occurred rains in all schools in Totana and Center on Aging, sports hall and indoor swimming pool, exhibition hall "Gregorio Cebrian," School Board, ecopark, reading center and study "José María Munuera and Abbey" and local police.

Finally, we have also assessed the damage at the site of La Bastida argárico, amounting to 22,200 euros and affect some of the hits and drains of the town, as a result of heavy erosion caused by runoff.

With these opinions prepared by the technical information, the City Council will support the request for assistance organized by the relevant authorities and provide the basis for bidding, contracting and execution of the same in the future.
