Denounce the "contempt" of the government team to the opposition in the commission of inquiry into the Municipal Children Schools (17/08/2012)

"From municipal groups Socialist and United Left-Greens want to denounce the utter contempt that the government team and the Councillor for Education have shown for the opposition groups on the findings of the commission of inquiry following the problems encountered in the Children Schools Totana, which led to the complaint made by the workers. Workers also were dismissed by the company that took over when the City said schools were no longer considered a priority for himself and decided to privatize.

From local groups of the opposition we opposed from the beginning to be carried out this process of outsourcing or privatization, but once done the same at all times we were working on this committee to try to clarify the reporting of workers and criticism of parents with regard to food in poor rains in the schools by the catering service at the time serving these nursery schools, irregularities in the firings, situation of the contractor, etc..

Now, the opposition groups we have the surprise that, having been working hard in the commission of investigation, during the months of June and July, we are not called to agree on the conclusions or not to sign the minutes end of that committee, although there is a prior agreement as to the timetable in this regard.

We believe this is further evidence that the PP treated with absolute contempt for local groups of the Opposition, especially considering the rumors that are emerging in the village over the uncertain future of infant schools, as a result of termination of the contract to the company that took care of them.

Given this, it seems outrageous that if this situation is occurring, the Councillor for Education is unable to contact the opposition groups to report a sensitive and important issue for our people.

The municipal groups Socialist and United Left-Greens say that the "public deserves transparency and thus is very difficult to reach consensus."

In conclusion, we reiterate the will of the opposition to reach out to reach an agreement that benefits the citizens and allow Totana regain the quality of the services this Municipality deserves. "
